Hi Janez,

So the track, the line that appears as you walk showing where you have been. The colour of a track can be changed, but not its width. When the track is selected it is red, when not selected it defaults to black or the colour you have set.

To set the colour tap it, so it goes red; from the top bar use Edit > Properties; use the sliders to set the colour; step back out of properties. Tap the map away from the track and it uses that colour.

The GPS colour setting is for the circle and cross showing your position on the map.

Yes, ViewRanger is now part of Outdooractive.

Outdooractive works on a subscription basis. When connecting your ViewRanger account to Outdooractive (see below), you'll be given a free period or a voucher based on what you own in ViewRanger. In the Outdooractive app, look under "My Page" to redeem your free gift. The subscription gives you the whole country, plus numerous other countries, rather than needing to buy separate subscriptions in ViewRanger. The maps are all up to date, updated regularly.

When you connect your account all your content (routes, tracks, POIs, and photos) will be available in ViewRanger and Outdooractive.

You can continue using ViewRanger if you prefer, it is not closing. We are only doing essential updates for operating system changes now, but you are welcome to continue using it with a free account or any purchased maps.

Outdooractive bought the company behind ViewRanger, with the aim of combining the two to make the best possible outdoors app and service. Over the last year, we've been working to add the best features of ViewRanger to Outdooractive (for example Buddy Beacon, Skyline, Wear, Challenges), and that continues. So we do expect most people will choose to move to Outdooractive over the coming year. But you are welcome to stay using ViewRanger too.
How do I connect my ViewRanger Account with Outdooractive?

On the device that has ViewRanger already installed, check the ViewRanger app is up to date in the app store. Then download the Outdooractive app from the app store, open the Outdooractive app and tap "My page" (head and shoulders lower right), tap "Sign in", tap "Connect with ViewRanger" button.

You do not need to have an existing Outdooractive (OA) account to start the merge process. But if you don't already have an Outdooractive account you will be asked to create one. If you do have an existing Outdooractive account, and are signed in, you will be asked to merge the accounts. If you are not signed in, but use the same ViewRanger account email as with Outdooractive, you will be given the option to continue the merge as that email.

Once your Outdooractive account is created, in the future please use the option to Sign In, then Login directly to Outdooractive. No need to "Connect with ViewRanger" again.
